Team Isaan sees prayer as a very important part of the ministry in the Isaan region of Thailand. We have spent the past several years getting prayer partners and believe that God is working through the prayers of approximately 1,000 people around the world (International Prayer Team) who have committed to regularly pray for some part of our target area. Team Isaan and the International Prayer Team are committed to be "watchmen on the wall" for the Isaan. Some of the aspects of the prayer ministry are listed below. You can click on any of the descriptions for further information. 1. Prayer Updates - We send out updates via e-mail and standard mail on a regular basis. These updates include information on what is happening in our target area, insight into Thai/Isaan culture, holidays, etc. 2. International Day of Prayer for the Isaan (IDOP) - Every March or April (a Sunday close to Thai New Years) we sponsor an International Day of Prayer focused on the Isaan people and region. We provide materials to inform and educate people on the needs of the Isaan. Past IDOPs have included participation from people and churches in several different countries and the list of countries continues to grow. 3. Prayer Journeys - We have developed Prayer Journey Guides for short-term mission teams that would like to come and participate in the prayer ministry. These guides will lead people through certain areas to strategically pray for them. Praying for an area is powerful and effective, but praying for an area as you physically journey through it can change the way you pray and gives you a better understanding of the needs for prayer. |
