 Team Isaan
We would like to introduce ourselves to you. I am sure that many of you do not know us or maybe only know a few of our team members. So, we hope this helps you feel like you know us a bit more.
Jon & Joy Chase (Nolan & Cameron)
We first came to Thailand with IFAP (International Fellowship of Alliance Professionals) in 1998. We spent two and a half years teaching English at a Thai private school in Chiang Rai. Sensing God's call on us to work more directly in evangelism and church ministries, we took a year out to study Thai language full-time in Bangkok. After that we transitioned to work directly with The C&MA, and spent four years in greater Bangkok in a church plant ministry. During this time, our sons Nolan and Cam were born. While on a one year furlough in the States, we sensed God's calling on us to minister in the northeast. So upon our return to Thailand, we moved to Udon Thani, in the northeast to join the Team Isaan ministry.

I first came to to Thailand in 1997 and lived here for about 6 years, teaching English, working with an HIV/AIDS organization, and then at the Evangelical Church of Bangkok, an English speaking church in Bangkok. During these years I was really saddened by the poverty that I saw all around me and the problems that this led to – such as disease, lack of hope, breaking apart of families, etc. I felt unequipped to help those affected by the many issues related to poverty, but really felt burdened to get involved. I returned to Philadelphia to study International Economic Development at Eastern University while living in a developing, inner city community. Through these experiences, God has continued to show me his heart for the poor and has grown in me a desire to integrate church planting with community development. In 2006 I joined CAMA Services, returned to Thailand and began working with Team Isaan. My home in the US is in both Vermont and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The International Prayer Team
Our Prayer Team from all over the world plays a vital role in this team. Without them, this ministry would be nothing. They come from 15 countries around the world and number somewhere around 1,000+ strong. They include children, youth, middle aged, older people, small groups, whole churches, families, and more. They pray for the Isaan and the work being done for the Isaan. The list of their names is too long to include, but they are not forgotten, they are a vital part of this team!
