Prayer Update June week Four

We had a great time of worship together yesterday in the Sawang Daen Din prison as we celebrated 10 more people making a public declaration to follow Jesus by being baptized. We spent time singing, giving testimonies of praise, and studying God's word together. One girl, Guitar, shared how God has changed her life, how she used to get angry very easily, but now she has more patience. Another,Yan (Sa) shared how she used to think only of herself, but now desires to help others as well. The men seemed to just be thankful that they even got this opportunity of a new life, and a fresh start. It was a sweet time as we all gathered around to witness the 7 women and 3 men take this next step in their walk of following God.

Please pray for Wat, he was not able to participate in the batismal service because he was very ill and in the infirmary. Pray that God would heal him and that he would be able to join the men in times of study and fellowship again soon.

Lastly, thanks for your prayers for Jeab. She was very open to meeting and praying through areas of her life. We know this is just the beginning of her finding true freedom in Christ, so please pray for her continual growth and knowledge of His Truth in her life.

Prayer Update June week Two
This week Stacy, Deb and Insom are attending a CHE Conference (Community Health Evangelism or sometimes called Community Development Education) that focuses on working with communities to identify their needs and come up with solutions to help their communities grow and develop. This training provides very practical tools to help us expand our work in villages and address issues like community health, agriculture, small business creation, and developing local leadership, while integrating Biblical truths and sharing the gospel.

Please pray that this training will provide good networking opportunities and practical resources that we can use to help our churches grow and expand their impact in their villages. Pray that the Father will teach Stacy, Deb and Insom things that will be useful for their own growth and for our work in Isaan.

We also praise God that five men were baptized today at the Sakon Nakhon prison. About two years ago, Jin came to the Lord in the first prison group in Sawang Daen Din prison. When he was transfered to Sakon Nakhon prison, he had a passion to share Christ with the prisoners there. Jin showed pure joy as he participated in the baptism of the men that he had a part in sharing the gospel with.
